Washington’s seniors and people with disabilities deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, with cost-effective but high quality care for the most vulnerable. But today thousands of caregivers are living in poverty, with high turnover that threatens the quality of care. Budget cuts have slashed care for the most vulnerable. Washington Values Care is sending a simple message to our elected officials – support quality care for seniors and people with disabilities and quality jobs for caregivers. Through the 2012 elections we will look at where the candidates for office stand – and which of them with stand up for quality care for seniors.
